I just bought a couple of hidden bolster release knives. I really like them. Im thinking about collecting automatic knives. What are yalls favorites? Im thinking my next one will be one that comes straight out the end, but not a double edged blade, if i can find one.

I like my benchmade. Brand new, the strength of the spring popping the blade out will catch you off guard and try and sling the knife out of your hand.

I have a Boker Kalishnikof spring assist that is nice. Was gonna get into it more as well. Got one of them OTF (out the front) or end as yall say. Couple hundred bucks. Loved it until it messed up and had to send it back. I still like it, but in the back of my mind. I figure it'll fail the first time I need to put some hickies on someone's neck.

I have a Microtech 70. Love the size as I am also moving around and larger knives in my pocket are a pain. I am disappointed in blade sharpness/retention https://microtechknives.com/knife/utx-70/

Funny story, when I was in desert storm our sister company was in Bessemer. So us and Bessemer got deployed and spent the entire deployment together. It was a culture shock for me as an 18 yr old from the country. They would play with each other and pull their knives out as fast as they could, like a “oh I gotcha that time” game. Before it was over I could pull out my buck knife and flick it open as fast as anyone could. You’d hear “what u say” then “flick” but it was always a joke. I also learn how to play craps, tunk, pluck and turned into a hell of spades player , but that’s besides the point. 😄 Lastly I learned the difference between being a “dick toter” and a “dick slinger”, you don’t want to be a “dick toter” 😂😂

I've got a couple of Benchmade's - infidels and a phaeton. The phaeton is what I carry all the time, it comes out the end but has a regular single sided blade. I also have a couple of cheaper cobratec's if you wanted to dip your toes into auto/OTF and not break the bank.

I have a couple of Benchmades also.
If you get one that is OTF, make sure it’s double action.

Benchmade Adamas. I’ve got a Mini Adamas also. The mini isn’t an auto, but can be opened just as fast as a true auto.
