Also the 'herd' must be in good shape because I'm mounting about 80 more deer than last season. Every other taxidermist I know has the same thing going. Been trending up the last 5 yrs. Because legalized corn is getting a lot more bucks killed......That's not necessarily a good thing for the herd.....It does back up exactly what some folks have been saying though. It'll be interesting to watch the trends over the next 5 years.....

The state should regulate the weapons used??And so much more? Pay for what cha doing. Bow hunt $2000 shotguns$3000 Rifles $4000 lift kits on trucks and sxs $1500. After market mufflers $1700 Owl hooting before 7:00 $6000 decoys for turkey $1200 if you screw up and need a tracking dog for turkey or deer ban free from hunting for 2 years. If your buddies can’t find your deer you should be fined. Go and ENJOY your day in the woods get cha biscuit on the way Let’s all be happy………..everbody can’t have monster bucks a double and triple bearded turkeys. ya'll need to delete this whole thread or we will have tags next year.... Yep and decide how much u are willing to pay to just deer hunt it’s headed towards who has the deepest pockets and makes the rules for us to follow not them. It’s been happening and gonna be a bigger problem going forward.

Growing up in Ga. we had 5 tags, 2 for bucks and 3 for does. The tags were just suggestions for most. There was no such thing as a processor and we skinned all our deer in tobacco barns so noone knew what we killed and when we killed it. We didn’t brag either. Shoot, skin, eat

For you guys that think we should rescind the 3 buck rule……Do you believe that the hunters’ freedom is more important than herd health and what’s best for the resource?? Do think that hunters should be allowed to have the most potential freedom possible even if the herd is being poorly managed as a result?? Where do some of you draw that line?? I’m a no on tags, no on check stations and no on reducing the buck limit for residents and any implementation of these will either move me to the outlaw side or I just quit all together. Your comment above insinuates that those who didn’t agree with the 3 buck aren’t concerned with the health of the herd and that perhaps increasing the buck limit would be detrimental to the herd? Elaborate please.
