In a desperate bid to attract voters from their sorry assed base of support, the Dems, at least one, Bernie Sanders, is introducing a 32 hour week at the same wages as a 40 hr. week. Now be honest, how many workers on here truly just work a 40 hour week? I didn't when I worked and that is why I'm like Kodiak in another thread and no longer have to work. Probably a reason I can't work like I used to also. I don't think I ever worked a 40 hour week unless it involved leave time or comp time.
Shoot, my wife is a teacher and I promise she puts in 10-16 hours a day. Getting there before the students, staying after they all leave and then doing paperwork, coming home and grading paper or preparing stuff for the next day. Anyone that thinks teachers are overpaid are ignorant to the situation IF the teacher is good and doing their job.
The most I had was 266 hours in a 14 day pay period during the 1990 school protests. I averaged 19 hours a day and there were others that had more hours than I. Some didn't see home for a few days. The City had food delivered to the PD for us and we took naps on desks and in the jail and went home only to shower and change clothes. Thanks Rose, we paid a lot of bills off during those times.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I've had periods in my life where the job might as well have been a true 24-7 6 day a week thing. If I was not sleeping, showering, or eating, I was working. It beat the hell out of me after a few years of that and I was relatively young and in shape back then. After that wrapped up, I vowed I would never do that again and so far I have not.

I haven’t worked just a 40 hour week since the late 90’s/early 2000’s and that’s just because we merged with another company and I went from being on call every other week to every fourth week. I left that job in 2003 and have worked 50+ ever since.

Wait until you decide to own a farm. Most folks have no idea of the time spent working here.

Wait until you decide to own a farm. Most folks have no idea of the time spent working here. Lot of people have no clue what it takes to grow a crop or raise livestock. Hell very few could do the math it takes at time lol

Why not just cut taxes on the working man? And anything over 40 should be tax free I like this idea

Heck we can’t afford the $15-20 an hour minimum wage forced on us during the epidemic and after Can’t wait to see what hat this does
Heard on the radio that the average American family in just 5 years will not be able to afford a new home, new auto and or extended vacations. A few other things but that was the gist of it.
Another article stated inflation is in fire again so get ready

What’s he gonna offer us that work 84 hrs in 7 days? I worked 7 days x 12 hour shifts = 84 hours a week. Then off a week! Rinse/repeat. I wonder how many democraps could work an 80 hour work week.

Before I had to retire I was working 60-80 hours a week and loved every minute of it Was a good job with good pay and benefits and I never felt "blah" about being there
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be
