Bait, trespassing, starting season early/hunting out of season, drones, electronic calling, over the limit, and shooting them with a rifle, are all cheating in my book. Shooting one off the roost is just not a sporting way of killing one. What if you were calling to him on the roost and he flew to a tree within 20 yards from you? From tree to tree, never touched the ground? I mean, you called him in, you tricked him… thoughts? I’d say a quick prayer that he didn’t hang up on a limb on his way down 😁
