Matter of fact, I didn’t see what the hype about that place is period. This whole inflation thing has just been a real good excuse to raise prices on everything and stick it to us. Everywhere. Funny how I haven’t heard about anyone’s pay getting “inflated” at the same pace.

I wear their brand of blue jeans, regular price 13 bucks. They had them on sale for 8.50 last month I bought every pair they had my size. Carpenter pants same price. They wear like Wranglers. They have the cheapest car ,truck, tractor batteries anywhere.

Rural King is awesome but right now they're stores are thin and no deals. Slow time of year to shop for clothes.

Their pants were $5.99 precovid. Thrift stores in Huntsville got greedy and went way up on prices. I quit wasting my time in those Stinky places. Probably catch bed bugs or something. I use to be a hardcore thrifter but when they closed the dressing rooms and offer no refunds....I'm out.

Rural king had nice t shirts for $5.99 til they got greedy and went from 100% cotton to half polyester. I swapped over to Carhartt shirts. You can't wear them out. $20 shirt and it's still like new 3yrs later.

The wife and I like to hit the thrift stores. The other day she found herself 3 pair of expensive dress pants to wear to work. All three for a little of $8. One pair only costed 99 cents. A little off topic.......this weekend, I found an old magna lite 10 inch aluminum pan for $6. I'm going to work on cleaning it up and restoring it best I can.

Never figured out why people think they have to buy new clothes "to look good for Easter" every year.

Easter weekend shouldn't be about being a fashion show. But, for too many, it is.

Nothing extravagant. Looking for khaki pants and polo style shirts. The cheapest shirt I saw was $106.00. The most expensive was $176.00. I see now why old men wear clothes that are out of style. They’re smart enough not to pay those stupid high prices.

Edited to add: Needless to say, shirts were NOT bought. grin

Wal Mart and get a few of each...

I’m lucky in that I don’t have to dress up for work. My Spring/summer/fall attire is swim or board shorts and a t-shirt. Each year I try and pop into Academy when they have the spring clearance sales and pick up some replacements. Even the “sale” prices this year have me thinking I’ll be headed to Goodwill or similar.

I buy all my shorts at the thrift store. In not paying $60 for a pair of Nike golf shorts but I'll definitely pay 4.99

And just like that, yall get to sit at the poor kids table at lunch

I've been poor all my life when it comes to that but I live in a nice house on a 100+ acres and have a nice truck and boat. It's all about what you spend your money on

Every part and process of the supply chain has almost doubled so here we are.

Find you a Plato’s Closet. Bought all my shirts there lately. All high end name brand stuff (used) but $3-20.

Because mama wants pics on Easter morning in front of the azaleas before church…like we do EVERY, SINGLE, YEAR. The SAME exact pose. The SAME exact spot. BUT…it’s what makes her happy.

most of the shirts I wear (90%) I would say I bought at the local americas thrift store. And half of those still had the tags in them. Some thrift stores suck but some will surprise you what you can find. I haven’t bought a shirt in a dept store in over 10 years I bet. Inflation has hit the thrift store also. What I could buy for 2.99 3 years ago now runs 5.99.
