I’ve buried my parents. I intend to do the same for my family. My question and what I’m struggling with is the cost. Not that I can’t afford it cause I for sure can. But cremation is cost effective and would leave $7-$9k more for my kids. Is there specific scripture that any one knows of that says bury me instead of dispose of me? Cause between my wife and me we could pass another $15-$20k to our kids if we didn’t do the traditional burial. Thanks In advance to the people who know the right answer. How old are your kids? Depending on their ages, maybe you should ask their opinion. I am kinda like James in that while I know folks who have been cremated, if it were my close family I would struggle with it over a traditional burial. Plus I am a genealogy nerd and I have learned lots of info from cemeteries that I feel like would be harder to find if those folks had not been buried in a traditional manner.
