Long term, I want to create a large Bream bed with pea gravel at our camp pond. I don’t have the time to do it like I want it now. I want to lay down liner and stack blocks on the perimeter to keep the gravel contained. In the meantime, I’ve purchased 10 gallon drywall mixing tubs and bags of pea gravel at Lowe’s. I filled the tubs and pushed them out with a 2x4. It was easy and the bream were on them the next day. $8 for the tub and $5 for the gravel. After doing a few, I’d recommend 1.5-2 bags of gravel per tub.

My FIL used blue kiddie pools filled with gravel and they worked great.

So, what's wrong with just dumping p gravel in the shallow end? I was going to rent a dump trailer and back up to the edge and just spread it out. Will this not work?

We have a very silty bottom. I believe overtime the pea gravel will sink into the mud in our pond.
