Stay in Evergreen or Greenville. Thought about that too. Or over in Thomasville. Big Mike's Steakhouse is good and there's a David's there too. Or you could jump on 10 and eat at Ezells' Catfish there on the river in Lavaca. It's 35 min from Evergreen to M'ville, 45 min from T'vill to M'ville, and just over an hr from G'ville to M'ville. Good thing we got that word "ville" or we would have a hell of a time figuring out where we are. We have villes in NA too . If I stay in what I know as G'ville , I'll still be bout 250 miles away .

About 35 miles from Wind Creek Atmore to downtown Monroeville...straight shot up highway 21.
Good, newer hotels at the casino, even if you choose not to stay AT the casino's hotel...Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, and Holiday Inn Express.

Thanks for the info fellers , that's what I was looking for. Monroeville is way smaller than Scottsboro but looks like it has more good choices for eats.

Now if you stay in Camden, there is a small engine repair shop on the highway about right between. The owners name is Frank and he likes to talk. So if you need somebody to talk to you can stop there.

That sounds like a fun trip 2dogs. Been a while since I’ve been to Monroeville. I always loved eating at David’s Catfish. I need to get back down there and visit some folks at some point.

I ate at David’s last year when I was down there alligator hunting. It was pretty darn good.

Unless the gal just started at tractor supply I’ve never seen anyone smoking hot that works there, places to eat are Reeds grill which is behind lee motor company,David’s,hunters run, courthouse cafe and sweet toothe, the messican joint by wal mart is good,if you decide to make the trip next year there are some really nice Airbnbs on the square where the play is at,besides watching the play and eating, there’s nothing else to do here
