Freakin rain overnight has it so damp that 2 hens just walked up to me 15yds to my right in the woods and I never heard them coming. Just barely turned my head a little bit and suddenly heard a couple of putts. No idea how long they’d been standing there but they busted me and wandered off putting. Believe they were alone though so no big loss.
Zero gobbling though. Literally only heard 1 lone gobble all season
You need to find a new place to hunt That’s the damn truth. Thing is, there were at least 2 mature gobblers and a handful of jakes here at the end of last season. They’ve just vanished
