Why are Democrats so hell bent on making it easy for squatters to take over homes? I hope to hell I never have to deal with this, because it will not be pretty.

The Dems are trying to put an end to private property ownership because its one of the basic foundations of our country. Its just another one of their assaults.
I hope that our state is aggressively working on stronger homeowner and landlord protections from squatters.cause that problem is appearing here more often.

You should try to evict someone now. You have to go out to the property and post a 7 day notice to pay or quit. Better take a picture or video. IF they don't pay you after 7 days, you have to go to court and file an unlawful detainer. They are usually heard in 30 to 60 days, at least when I did them. If the other party shows up to court, mine didn't, you get a default judgement, and its sent over to the sheriff's office, which usually notifies them they have so many days to get out or they will put them out. In one of my cases, I was putting out an LEO, and they gave him plenty of professional courtesy.
Then you have to take them back to court to sue for any damages over and above what your security deposit covered. And try to collect the judgement on the unlawful detainer. I have 2 out there, uncollected. Can't serve the people. One guy, the LEO, I served his bank, but because he got federal $, I wasn't allowed to take any of it. Go figure.
Its a completely rigged system.

If you have not noticed the Dems are attacking every institution and basic fundamental that this country is founded on. Private property ownership is one of the biggest. Things that relate to private property are addressed dozens of times in the constitution. 1st through the 4th amendments relate directly and indirectly to Private property ownership. The 2nd makes sure we can defend ourselves and our property.

Its a completely rigged system. I feel your pain. It took from November-First of March to get one just out of the house. Still haven't seen the judge on damages and back rent. This is awful. Just think what it would do to someone that had a mortgage on the place and used the money to pay that mortgage. Yeah, yeah, don't buy if you can't afford it outright. It should be put on them, "Don't rent unless you plan to pay on time." A homeowner should not have to deal with this mess. Squatters, rioters (unless Republican rioters), unpaying renters, those holding college debts, illegals, have more rights than anyone else.
