Growing up in the 60's/70's we called them June Bugs. They would shed there outer shell and it would be stuck on pine tree bark mostly....looked like a pork skin! You called cicadas June Bugs? These are June bugsYeah that one got me. June bugs are June bugs and cicadas are cicadas.
