I feel like the bigger the gun, the more it helps. Idk if it’s really like that, but it seems to me the more the powder capacity, the more effective it is. Shooting a 300 RUM is about like light 7mag recoil with a suppressor. Shooting 300 PRC is pleasant suppressed. Shooting 223 suppressed helps, but it’s not nearly as effective as larger rounds IMO. Maybe bc I’m using a 30 cal can on 223.

My 308 suppressed is a baby doll to shoot.

Probably something to that. My 6.5 cm and .308 is pretty quiet with the can on it. I had a 6.5 grendel that with the same can on it was still really loud. Of course that thing sounded like a stick of dynamite going off without the can anyway. I sat in a ground blind in a swamp one time and messed up and shot a pig with the muzzle still in the blind and it about blew my eardrums out.

Is there a way to transfer a suppressor bought by an individual to a trust after purchase?

Got one a couple weeks ago in 2 days. Did paperwork on Monday, approved Wednesday. Ordered another last night. It will be my 6th. Very refreshing after waiting 9-12 months for my first ones.

Got mine (individual) in just a few days. SilencerCo Harvest Evo. Like the can but maybe should have done a little more research. Decided I wanted the ASR quick disconnect. Everywhere around had the barrel mounts (flash hider or muzzle break) but the ASR Bravo mount I needed was unobtainable ANYWHERE on line that I could find. Went old school and started calling SilencerCo dealers off their dealer locator on the website. Found some at Mikes Outdoors in Pensacola FL. Now I’ve gotta get barrels threaded on two or three bolt action rifles (took one to Campbell’s Hdwe in Robertsdale) and get adjustable gas blocks on my two AR’s (.223 Wylde and .308). My son has a SilbecerCo Sparrow (?) waiting on his background check. He did the Single Shot trust deal that SC has going. He’s a couple weeks in already.

Think I want a .45 can next. Got a couple 1911’s and an Sig P230 and I need to start barrel shopping. Any suggestions as to where to look for those? The 1911 barrels will need to be gunsmith fitted I’m told, but the Sig may or may not. SilencerCo has a pistol silencer shaped like a door with a rounded top. Doesn’t protrude much above the profile of the slide so won’t interfere with the factory sights. Like that idea a lot.

Can't you change buffer weight instead of replacing gass block?

As long as they are listed as an heir on your will they can do a tax free NFA form 5 to transfer them into their possession once you’re gone.

I'm hearing the ATF is turning them around very rapidly, anticipating a Trump administrations legalizing them completely. After last night, all bets are off.

Second one took 10 days. It was 4th of july weekend, that could have slowed it up.
