In your best guesstimate…….What percentage of the adult gobblers in your area make it through turkey season??.......Would you say its hardly any, a few, or a good many??

In your best guesstimate…….What percentage of the adult gobblers in your area make it through turkey season??.......Would you say its hardly any, a few, or a good many?? How do you gauge that. If you got 40 acres or 4,000? Birds travel around from what I see. Like two gobblers at the farm. They travel thru whenever they want since the hens seem to all be on nest. The concern I have this year is lack of Jake sightings. Usually see more than I have this spring. I haven’t seen a Jake at the farm since last year. Haven’t seen one on the trace in a while and other areas I travel.

Just your general feeling of if its 10%.......50%........or 90% kinda thing........Not trying to measure with a microscope on this one.

Percent that makes it is less than 30% about everywhere I hunt. Reason I say that is because I know how many get killed around where I hunt and hardly any make it. Hardy ever see a bird with over 3/4” spurs. Most are 2 year olds each year. Used to be that over 50% made it every year, but those days are long gone. Way more folks in the woods now. This is about what I would have expected.......Kinda surprised seeing so many people say 50% and higher
