I wasn’t there but heard deer season is starting the weekend after thanksgiving instead of the weekend before. Supposedly a bunch of pay hunt outfitters are upset, since they had already sold a bunch of opening weekend hunts Whaaat?
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

It's opened the Saturday before Thanksgiving since the mid 80's , before that it was the Friday before Thanksgiving . It ain't that hard. If some outfitters sold gun hunts before the Saturday before Thanksgiving ........well y'all know.

I think you heard wrong then. That’s not what was proposed. The proposal is to open it up Nov 23, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, which is on the 28th. I think ppl were expecting it to open up Nov 16th, which is the third Saturday of November. Why would anyone think that? Its opened the Saturday before Thanksgiving for at least 25 years.
