in my home town the local WALMART is being questioned by one of our council members because they have gotten complaints that Walmart door folks are discriminating against people of color because they check bags leaving the store.

Now its going to be even easier to steal. I can't believe I said that out loud.

Then I need to cry racism. They try to check me every time. I walk past and make them chase me. I don't play that bulldoodoo.

My Wal markers only checks white folks!

After self checking groceries, my wife told the lady she could follow her to the car help load the groceries and only then could she check the receipt. The receipt didn't get checked.

I just nod and keep on walking.

True story: There was a greeter at the Selma WalMart that was mentally challenged. She was an older White lady. One time they sent auditors to the store to see what they could steal. They walked out with $1000s of dollars worth of stuff. Trolling motors and one of them pushed a lawn mower out the door. The next day they came back and met with management and the greeter and asked her why she didn't stop any of them and her answer was, "Because they were White". She honestly didn't know that was wrong. Because of her mental capacity she received training and kept her job. Remember I was moonlighting there to boost my retirement and I never her saw her check a receipt after that. Still working there as of a year ago when we moved off.

Why be a dic to someone simply doing their job? People bitch and moan there are no workers and ya wonder why...

Reckon its racist when they close the store down because of theft? Maybe its racist that the Walmarks in black neighborhoods dont sell guns? Theres alot of racism going on at walmarks.

It would be fun to listen to someone from coorporate trying to explain that to a group of NAACP leaders.

Kodiak I don't think anyone is being a Dick when you check you own stuff and they ask for a receipt but 14 of their Auntie and uncles walk right by after being in store for 2 hours and don't check nothing!

You’re not getting out of Costco or Sam’s Club without showing a receipt. On a side note I did get asked to leave our local Costco during covid for not wearing a mask.

It depends on the door greeter who's doing it and yes its possible. Anything and everything is possible, at Wal-Mart. Sam Walton is probably rolling over, in his grave.

Here is how I handle it:

“Sir can I see your receipt?”

“No ma’am you didn’t offer to help scan it and bag it so I don’t need your help now.” And I keep on walking.

They can do that because its part of the agreement when you became a member. You didn't purchase a membership for Wal-Mart.

I had a fried that was walking out the door at Walmart and an employee said “sir can I see your receipt?” My friend waves it at him and puts it in his pocket and keeps walking. The Walmart employee said “well damn there it is!” My friend just laughed and kept walking.

I don’t do self check out but if I did. If you’re trusting me to do someone’s job then don’t have someone checking to be sure I did it correctly
