My old Dachshund is shutting down. Not responding to much of anything. Can't walk. I guess tomorrow when I get back from my Dr. appointment I'll take him to the vet to get the big shot. The moles of the world can rejoice as he won't be their death anymore. Everybody should have a dog like him in their lifetime. I've been blessed with a few.
Who knows, this isn't the first time I thought he was on his last leg. Maybe he'll bounce back again.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I feel your pain and I know it's a bit early to think about it but when the time is here, the best way to get over an old best friend is to get you a new best friend. It's not a replacement, just a beginning of a fresh blessing. I know for a fact that a man can have several great dogs in his lifetime and each will have it's own personality and be a blessing in different ways.

Hate to hear it. I’ve got a yellow lab that won’t make it through the summer without having a date with the shot as well. She’s been sick for years and it’s just gotten to the point that nothing is working for her anymore.

Sorry man, it’s the hardest decision it seems.

Sorry Jawbone, he was lucky to have you. Some dogs have no one when they die. Sad.

Sure hate to hear that. Dachshunds are great dogs. Hope your little fella can recover.
