Anyone have a s&w m&p 2.0 9mm? Likes-dislikes, been thinking about getting one especially with a $75 rebate right now. TIA

Don't have a 9mm, but the other M&P pistols I do have are awesome. My recommendation is to go for it.

I just bought a 5โ€ M&P PC 2.0 Pro series in 9mm. It is an older model on clearance for $375. Its nicer than my other pistols and presumably got replaced by a model with an OSP and a better trigger.

Know someone whose EDC is still the Gen 1 that rides in the truck every day and it has never given him a problem. Clean the lint out once every few months and change out self defense rounds once a year. Have several friends that also bought the Gen 2 after he liked it so much and they are still carrying it daily as well. Great buy.

My gen 1 stays in the truck and has never given me problems either. It was a 40, I just changed it over to a 9 to match the S&W FPC I picked up a while back.

Skip the 9 and just go get the Shield 45. Love mine.

For whatever reason I've never had good luck with the M&P 9mms. Have both compact versions (3.6") in 1.0 and 2.0. They feel good and reliable, but can't get them to group to my standard. They don't hold a candle to my other comparable 9mms (FNS, Caniks, Sigs, etc)

My M&P 45s, including the Shield 45, someone will need to pry them out of my dead hands because they are flat out accurate and reliable.

When I worked at a gun store I figured out quickly that the reliability of a firearm wasn't based on the number of them that went out the door. If that was true then the $200 Taurus would be the best gun in the world. I based it on the number that were brought back with problems because the people that owned them actually fired them. I do not recall any S&W handguns or rifles being returned. Their lines of firearms are very good.

Got the shield 2.0. 9mm .Very textured grip. No way to slip, fairly accurate, small, easily concealed. The negative to me is capacity. For the price get one and try it.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I have the 2.0 in .40 and 10mm
Both are excellent handguns
My next purchase will be the .45

Big M&P fan here. Have gen1 and shield plus. They just released ported 2.0s this past week. Will probably snag one.

The S&W M&P Shield 45 ACP has been my concealed carry for many years now. It has been a good un!
