Got a freeze dryer last year, didn't really use it much through the winter, started using it for our vegetables. Absolutely best investment I've ever made, cut out my canning by 75%. And this food is absolutely the best. Will keep for 100 years . Taste great just like it comes out, and when rehydrate it's just like fresh. If you put up alot of stuff look into one of these!

You can freeze dry anything, meat eggs milk soup, this thing is really freaking awesome. Was skeptical at first, but we've done squash, tomatoes, onions, peppers, green beans, cantaloupe, peaches pears, and I don't know what allelse. I mean like one batch does like 14 quart jars. Nothing we've done has not been better than when it's fresh. Just put the green beans in water and heat like normal. Tastes like they just came from garden. Loses zero nutrients

Harvest right extra large is what we got. Just push a button and come back and get it all out. Really simple to use

When you get done with the garden start looking at the freeze dried candy. Ran into a lady that is using one to freeze dry skittles. I tried a couple. Pretty tasty. She is working on a freeze dried Oreo. Hasn't got that down yet but said she about had it dialed in. I went down that rabbit hole on youtube. They are pricey. But I want one. About forgot. Freeze dried okra was dang good. Almost as good as fried. But better than store bought tater chips. I was thinking what I had seen at Buccee's and the Mennonite store was made in a dehydrator. I'll dang sure plant more stuff especially okra if I some how get one.
