I agree the coons needed some set back. I think my current problem is coyotes. Looks good.

Yes kill them all! We started doing it about 4 years ago and our turkey population has exploded.

I am strongly PRO trapping and think it has numerous benefits. I encourage everyone interested in turkeys to trap. HOWEVER wink I have seen a good number of poults this spring, 2 springs ago and pretty good 3 springs ago. Not all my folks trap, probably most do little to none but ALL are seeing plenty of poults. ALL my folks practice good management including burning....Just sayin' and not trying to be a Debbie Downer laugh

Good job by the way, great to see another good hatch occurring.

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine

We would love to burn. Most people lease timber land though and it's not permitted. Just the way it is.

I’m seeing a LOT of poults this year nearly everywhere.

We trap minimally on our place in South Montgomery that you rode over recently but on Saturday I saw two different groups of a hen and a few poults then yesterday I got a pic of 3 hens and 9-10 poults on the big powerline. Since the last week of April I have also been seeing a lot more male turkeys. A group of 6 jakes, a group of 5 longbeards and a single longbeard or two running around. Hopefully some will be around next spring.
