I recently purchased a Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 in .450 BM. I'm looking for recommendations on scopes and rings. I will be using this for deer hunting. Does anyone have experience or thoughts on a Trijicon Triangle Post Reticle?

The triangle is good. I had an old Accupoint with that reticle. My current preference is the duplex/green dot reticle. Much prefer it to the triangle. A 1-4 Accupoint on a 450 would be awesome. Enjoy your 450 AR. Its a great, fun round.

The Leupold 1.5-5 Firedot would be another fantastic scope choice.

No matter what scope you go with, get a cantilever mount. There isn’t a better option out there for AR’s. I prefer the team warne cantilever mounts. Super easy to install and get tight.

Not to get into to much thread drift, but if you want to put a smile on your face, touching off a Hornady 225 FTX over 44 grains of H110 will do it every time. Fun round!

I just have a 3-9x50 Leopold on mine. Had a nikon 3-9x40mm pro staff on her and the cross hairs broke! They warranted it, but i dumped it, and went with the vxii

A VX-R 1-4 with Firedot would be a good choice too.

FWIW, if looking 1-4 Accupoint, give me the triangle over the dot every day and twice on Sunday…..FAR better than many know or spend enough time with to ‘get it’. Yeah, it’s different, but there’s ZERO a duplex/dot will do on a LPV that the triangle won’t.

If you can find a Sightron or certain Burris 1.5-6 stuff, they’d work as well.

Thanks for all of the input. I put a Trijicon Huron 3x9x40 on my .35 Rem lever gun and absolutely love it. I am looking for the best FOV, and it is better for me than all of my Leupold Freedom scopes. The clarity of the glass is better, and the price point doesn't hurt, either. What's everyone's opinion on the CDS scopes for .450 BM?
