I would think there is no way in h.ll that an ordinary citizen could get on a roof at a Presidential Rally with an unobstructed view of the President. Without some inside help that is. You might be surprised. When I was kid I walked right into a Ronald Reagan speech in Montgomery and just wandered around everywhere unchecked. I was a kid and not threatening but nobody really even looked at me. I was kind of invisible it seemed.

Absolutely correct. Someone inside cleared that building, provided access and turned their head. He was gonna die regardless, but he was allowed to take the shot and missed.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

You might be surprised. When I was kid I walked right into a Ronald Reagan speech in Montgomery and just wandered around everywhere unchecked. I was a kid and not threatening but nobody really even looked at me. I was kind of invisible it seemed. In 1986 I was 17 and went to DC for FFA. We had an audience with President Reagan. I had a Buck 110 knife in my pocket, the metal detector didn’t pick it up, and it was on me the entire time.
