I'm done with circle K. I did like them due to low prices. But now it is all self checkout. I'm not dealing with that.

Not ours. We have the largest bodied, softest spoken, girlie boy on the cash register. He just slowly waddles around.

The Circle K self check-out device thing bothers me. It sorta reminds me of a fast food heat lamp kind of thing where you know the edges are hot enough to sting you. It does not make me want to use it cause my generation X brain says do not put a cup of coffee or cigarette lighter under a french fry lamp.

when they opened in Sylacauga, I used them almost exclusively. Now, not so much. To get their best price on gas, you have to give them access to your checking account. I'm not doing that. I keep a low-limit cc just for use in public. I would have used it, but it was not acceptable to them. If you don't get their best gas price, other stations around cost less. I've only been inside the store four times. It is NOT self-checkout and the people were very pleasant.

I'm more referring to the discount on gas you get with the Easy Pay. What I'm leery of is it works like a debit card I believe. You pick up a card at your local Circle K, activate it and attach to your banking. It acts as a debit card at any participating Circle K. Enrollment offer is .30 of first 100 gallons, then .10 after. FYI, if you download their app (which is separate from EP) you get 5 fill ups @ .25 off per gallon. No expiration.

Looking at ways to save a little on filling up this 1500. lol.

I use it for gas no issues
Use the card or just enter you phone number and get discount and use your cc
I rarely ever go into the store of a any gas station so can’t comment on inside use

I walked up to the counter with a handful of items. Dude just pointed at the self checkout. I sat my items down there and walked out. I'll never go there again.

I did the same thing the first time I had to deal with it! What is this disruption to the normal order of life?

You don't change up the process of 100 years of buying tater chips at a gas station overnight and expect folks to just do it automatically without some natural push-back.

Shell Fuel Rewards card gives you $0.15/gal off at the pump. As long as you fill up once per week, you maintain the $0.15.

The first time i scanned out using this crap i got the charge for the person in front of me and my purchase. I was in a hurry and didn't check my receipt until i was down the road a ways. Turned around and took it back but the clerk couldn't straighten the problem out. Told me i would have to come back when the manager was there.

We had an older black lady named at the local circle K for a long time. Her name was Mrs Freda and she didn't put up with no crap. Saw a young back guy in line in front of me ask for change for a dollar one time. She said in a stern voice "if you pull your pants up". He laughed, she just stared at him, he pulled up his pants and got his change.

I use both the circle K rewards and the self checkout and love both. I don't understand why people don't like the self checkout there. You don't even scan the items. You just set them on the thing and it scans them all and gives you your total and you pay. Soooo much faster than dealing with someone who has made a career out of working at a gas station.

If they made a career out of working at a gas station, that means they are comfortable with that life and are probably happy with it. That my friend, is called a successful career.
The french fry light looking scanny machine, took away that persons peaceful and unobtrusive career that they were fine with. The scanner machine still cannot fix the icee and coffee mixer machine anyway.

Not at all faster. Every time someone wants to buy some beer or a pack of cigarettes, they gotta chase someone down, and that is a big portion of what is sold there. Then believe it or not some people still pay for things with cash.

I don't care if they were happy or not. They 9/10 suck at their job. They have no desire to get you in and out of the store in a decent time. There is hardly ever a line at the auto scanners. Most people that want tobacco go to the regular register bc someone is manning it. I use a circle k almost every day. I am usually in and out using the auto scanner while the register line has 3 people in it.
