Looks like those kids set him up to film him knowing he would blow his stack. Who knows?

Siding with the kids on this one. How many 15 yr olds do you know, that are trespassing or breaking the law, that call the cops themselves and tell the “ adults” we are waiting for the cops to show up. I’m betting the kids live in the neighborhood, fishing is allowed for the residents, and they’ve had enough of being harassed by the local Karens. Wonder what state that was in?

If I was one of those kids parents I'd drag that old sob up and down the street by his ears

Yeah , livin' in the country, in beautiful Jackson County Alabama , where kids are free to fish in ponds.

Guy was a jerk, but I still think the kids knew what reaction they would get from him so they could film it.

Glad I never ran into someone like him when I fished ponds. I actually had some people that owned houses that backed up to Woodmere park in Montgomery see me and a friend fishing the pond when we were 16. They invited us to come in there backyard and fish, even told us to park next to their driveway so we didn't have to walk so far. The park closed at sundown but because we were in their yards we could keep fishing as long as we wanted. We were respectful and made sure to leave no trash behind. We even enjoyed sitting and talking for a while with them. It was 2 elderly couples that lived next door to each other and both were as nice and welcoming as could be to a couple of teenage boys just looking to catch a few fish.

Or get it by the end of the rod where he broke it and hit him across the teeth with the baitcaster. That would have took all the bitch right out of him.

Yes I think he needed the Antenna effect put on him. What a jerk. I encountered one in Pelham as I was fishing close to his house. He proceeded to tell me what I needed to do and I proceeded to tell him to shut up as I was busy fishing and wanted peace and quiet.

Matt Webster was the man who broke the rod. His son posted a video saying that his father was an alcoholic and a mean drunk and hasn't spoken to him in years. Another video on YT said the police were called and the two boys were issued trespass violations. The police also said the parents could file charges against Matt if they wanted to. Lastly, another YouTuber reached out to the one whose rod was broken and sent him a $200 Bass Pro Shop gift card to buy another rod.
