Hornady!

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

That’s what Mrs. Bamaeyedoc shoots. Beautiful gun and accurate as hell. 140gr Core Lokts. Pm me your number and I’ll send you a video of the blood trail from the 8pt she killed last year. Where’d u get it?!

Most 7mm08 shooters swear by the Core Lokts. 140gr. I just started sighting in my Ruger American Standard Gen 2 in 7mm08. Congrats on the gun and good luck!

We use 120 grain, either Nosler Ballistic Tip or Barnes TTSX. Couldn't tell you about blood trails, because every one we have shot in the last 10 years or so died right where they were shot.

Some sit, some flip, some just flop, but they all die right where we shot them.

Federal Fusion 140 grain. An excellent, accurate round with devastating impact and superb penetration.

That’s a wonderful rifle. You scored one helluva collector’s item.

I shoot the Hornady 139 gr whitetail and 140 gr Winchester ballistic tips.
They both shoot very good

Thanks for the responses guys. Last question, what are the longest shots made using these loads. Appreciate the input.

Single round kill shots out to about 250 yards is the most we have had so far. I would absolutely take a shot out to 350-400 yards with either of the 120 grain loads I mentioned.

We use a 200 yard zero, and would hold over 7 inches at 300, and 20 inches at 400.

The Core Lokts, as stated above, have been great for me. I have only killed one deer with this round and it never took another step. This was the only deer I ever shot at with this round. I prefer a 270. Coyotes are a different story. I have killed around 50 with this round out to 300 yards. One hundred yard sight in with the Core Lokts and if the coyote is far, I place the cross hairs on the top of the back. I have shot under a few and don't know how far they were but they were a long way away. The 7MM-08 is a great round with very little recoil. I have also used the Norma ammo on coyotes when Core-Lokts got hard to find. They also performed well out of my Tikka rifles.

I can't stand a thief.

I’ve been using a Abolt 2 7-08 since 1996. Stick with the heavier bullets 139-140, and it’ll shoot great out to 350. I’ve killed several around the 3-350 yard mark. I like 2-3” high at 100, will have you real close at 300. No adjustment necessary to 300 yards. Past that it drops like a rock

i`ve been wanting one of these in stainless for a while. i`d like to put a carbon stock on it.

my winchester extreme weather shoots the 140 gr fusion really good but my model will not. model 7 really only likes ttsx.
