I have one and have shot many types of bullets attempting to figure out which bullet works best. I shoot the 100 g firesticks. The most accurate bullets were as follows:

#1 - Hornady Boredriver, 290 g, BC = 0.135,. Muzzle velocity 1,818 fps with a 1.5" group at 100 yds. Bullet is easy to load and the most consistent with a 25.6 fps standard deviation. This would be my recommendation for shots less than 125 yds.

#2 - Hornady ELD-X, 330 g, BC = 0.315. Muzzle velocity 1764 fps with a SD of 37.1. Groups at 100 yds ~ 1.5". This bullet is a little slower but the high bullet coefficient allows it to be a flatter shooting bullet with more energy and more range. It kicks a little more too. You will need a special jag to load it. I have not shot this load long distance, but it will have 1000 ft-lb of energy out to about 340 yds. This bullet is also easy to load.

#3 - Hornady SST 300 g, BC = 0.25,. Muzzle velocity of 1751 fps with a standard deviation of 60 fps. Accuracy was a 1.5" to 1.75". This load will have 1000 ft-lb of energy out to 230 yds. This is a sabot bullet and I had about a 200 fps drop in muzzle velocity after 3 shots due to plastic fouling in the barrel. Clean barrel with brass brush and velocity restored.

I also tried the Traditions Smackdown Bleed (170 g), Traditions Smackdown XR (200 g), Hornaday SST 250 g, Traditions Carnivore (250 g), Traditions Carnivore (275 g) and a Traditions Smackdown Carnivore (305 g). In general, my groups got tighter with the heavier bullets and some of the groups were as wide as 5" at 100 yds..

The Nitrofire is expensive to shoot due to the high cost of Firesticks. Reeds Gun and Ammo will occasionally put the firesticks on sale and if you buy in bulk (100 rounds) you can significantly lower your unit price. The loading and unloading of the Firesticks is great!!!

You da man! Thanks! I have been shooting #3. I don't like the plastic fouling the barrel for one, and two, I can't seem to get them to group well period. I'll check out the boredriver. Appreciate ya.

The Nitrofire trigger has a lot of creep. The trigger likely adversely impacted my shooting accuracy in the beginning of my shooting activities. The trigger takes a little getting used to. Once you figure out the trigger, your shooting accuracy/groups will improve.
