Its a great way to hunt if you have the property. Funny but the best deer dog I ever had was a beagle that would jump bucks and burn him up in medium size block. Now I know most will not believe that but if you try it you can see for yourself

I like a running walker crossed with some sort of tree stock dog. About 75/25 seems about right. Too much running dog and the don't have much nose, and I like to track hunt. Too much tree dog and they are bad to get hung up on a cold track and are bad to fight. We have litters out of a couple of mine now, but they are all promised out.
