I personally like this show. It is the right size, right price to get in, one can of food, good parking , parking deck attached, and some very good vendors. I like it a lot better that the event they had earlier in Birmingham. Good crowd, but you can get around with no problems.

I’ll prob go. Kinda kicks off the deer season mood for me. Don’t buy much anymore but a good way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon with the wife.

I'll be taking the grandson. Lot of neat sights and sounds for a five year old.

I hope to go to this. There is still some semblence of a hunting show. I usually talk to the Wildlife Group folks, the Firminator folks, and a few others. It is also the perfect time to get the guy you don't like loaded down with junk mail and phone calls from The old Buckmaster. The only problem is there is a NWTF open house the same Saturday. Will see what happens.

I will be going. Looking forward to it. Especially interested to see the bull riding outside of the hunting gear. Will be upgrading my binos- good place to look thru a bunch and compare.

Cost of a can of food that goes to Food Bank. Worth it. There are enough rednecks to come that it is probably the safest event in Montgomery. Jackie has come a long way since I was a 17 year old Tennis Player and he was the Pro at Lagoon Park in Montgomery. Told us he was starting Buckmasters and he gave me an original buckmaster video. I thought it was pretty cool but never could have imagined how big it would grow. Still blows my Mind that Jackie played at Wimbledon and was top 100 in the world in Tennis.

I knew he was a good tennis player but no idea he was THAT good. I’ve never heard it read that but if true, that’s amazing. Millions play tennis but only a fraction of a percent get to play at the All England Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club. Pretty impressive.

Charlie Lane (AKA Dr Leisure ) was the Original One Shot Benefit director for Buckmasters . Charlie was one of my dearest friends on Earth. Charlie was the Oconner pro and Jackie the lagoon pro. Jackie's dad was the originator of the Blue Gray Tennis Tournament. Charlie and me were hanging out at Lagoon when Jackie gave me the tape. I spent 8 hrs or so a day on Jackie's courts when I was 15-17 yrs old. For all that I know I take it to be a fact that Jackie played Wimbledon.

I am feeling old now because when we played KYLE ANDERSON was the God of Tennis. He ended up being an All American at Auburn. I never saw anybody beat Kyle. Hell I was ecstatic to lose 6-4, 6-4 to Kyle in doubles. But Kyle got whupped his Senior year by a sophomore from Houston Academy. A 2A player beating Kyle was impossible it seemed. Anyway that 2A kid was Bryan Shelton. Brian a few years later made it to the quarterfinals or Semi of Wimbledon. Incredibly this year Ben Shelton, Bryan's son was the last American in the field at Wimbledon and he advanced to the round of 16.

Bama as a side note I think we were in the same Sunday class years ago ( Shane's ) @ Frazer.

Charlie was probably the best turkey hunter in Alabama. I miss not seeing him walking around the neighborhood.

Looking forward to the Buckmasters expo.
