I read an article this morning that Weyerhaeuser is buying 84,300 acres north of Mobile. Does anybody know who they are buying the land from? It said it was multiple transactions with one closing already in the second quarter of this year.

That’s the only info that I’ve found too. It’s the same on quite a few sites but never mentions who the sellers are.

We lost our lease with Larson and Mcgowin this year due to a large trust fund they managed selling out. They did not tell us who the buyer was but I can't help but wonder if it is Weyerhaeuser after seeing this thread. Property was in Conecuh County between Evergreen and Andalusia. Yeah, I too have a Larson and McGowan lease in Escambia County that I’m worried about. Did you not get the option to lease with the new owner or did they just pull the plug?
