For those like me that will never be able to retire, it doesn't hurt my 401K much. I just wish I could stop paying Social security taxes. I'll never see a dime of that $$ and I definitely will never get what I paid into it. I keep putting more $$ in it will recover. Always has , always will.

Get ready to get back in these markets. I think this is going to blow over but has a lot to do with Israel.

That may sound crazy but the only crazy people are Janet Yellen and the Fed Chair. Nothing makes sense because all the numbers are cooked. They were talking all this time about lower rates because inflation is under control but there is more to interest rates than purely inflation. Now they will probably do an emergency rate cut. This is a broad statement but outside the inflation issue... You are supposed to cut rates when the outlook is stagnant not during positive growth. Rate cuts are meant to stimulate the economy. The problem is inflation is sitting on the opposite side of the fence. That's why this is so tricky and everyone gets real worried about inflation being very difficult to control. This is how things get out of hand. Alan Greenspan brought us interest rate manipulation under George W. and we are still doing it and it has all but destroyed this Country financially.

But not under Janet's watch. She will print whatever it takes. The Fed will cut. Markets stabilize and they will print money until November and lie about inflation. New record highs coming soon.

Reality says this is a legit crash and I may be wrong about all this... because I'm basing this off of purple dinosaurs and bowls of green M&M's they feed us with each passing economic report for 4 years now. The numbers have been fake for a long time. I don't trust it only because of who's in charge they will print us right of a cliff and not think twice.

Wait for Iran's response. Be ready.

For those that have never learned this observation. When the markets are bad to the point that they start shutting trading off, watch the price of oil, gold, silver, and forex (you can add crypto nowadays). Those markets never stop trading because they are global. When a market opens back up things usually go about where those others have already gone.

Online brokerage firms crashing. Sorry regular people... you can't jump ship before the boat is under water. https://x.com/nicksortor/status/1820460117768257912
That is not for today, but its a warning that it will be coming. Imagine a full month where the general regular public cannot trade easily anymore. How do you think people are going to react?

Never underestimate those who have made a living out of lying cheating and stealing. It can fall about 25% and I'm still even for once in my life I got out and back in at the right times. I took what little I had put back in out last week after it appeared we were escalating things with both Iran and Russia. We are giving Ukraine fighters now and they'll do something stupid here soon enough like attack some infrastructure deep in Russia. Israel is about to get it on with Iran.

Here we go.

I'm ok too, as are most conservative long minded investors. I am dipping some chips into things that look like bargains today. But I'm not committing anything significant either.

I agree. I had some dry powder after Covid and caught a good upswing. My only advice would be to dip your toes in this time. Ease back into the market. I went all in after Covid and got lucky but that probably wasn’t smart

The simple fact, if you aren’t invested in tangible items, its all make believe. Its like enjoying internet porn until the plug gets pulled. You only have one person to blame.

I have tangibles and a real woman 😂🤣😂🤣🇺🇸

My investing is small potatoes compared to some of y'all I am sure. But, I tried to log in to my account with Schwab and the online website has this posted at the top:

Due to a technical issue, some clients may have difficulty logging in to Schwab platforms and may have difficulty reaching us by phone. Please accept our apologies as our teams work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

I know technical problems occur like someone or something cutting a line somewhere that takes down the internet for a little while, but it does make me wonder about the timing today.

The things and systems that are crashing are not just tied into online money trading. Odd telecom systems and UPS and other integrated corporation public interfaces are crashing

I’ve been telling my 62+ yr old friends at work to lock everything in when we went north of 40,000. Some did, some didn’t.
