Yeah that’s not “open carry” That’s carrying openly and that will get you in serious trouble How you come up with that The manner in which he’s carrying would be considered brandishing especially with the mask on Carrying openly is meant that the firearm is in his hand

"a man leaped out brandishing a knife"

I might not like the way it looks but I believe he's legal if he's allowed to own a firearm. Rights can sometimes be uncomfortable when exercised in an unconventional way. Now, it probably wouldn't be hard to defend shooting that guy if he so much as pointed in your direction. That makes him stupid but not illegal

Here is what Google A.I. says
AI Overview
… In Alabama, open carry does not require a weapon to be holstered, but it is considered a rebuttable presumption that openly carrying a handgun in a holster or other secured manner is not disorderly conduct.

He looked like a menacing charge was applicable It would most likely be a Brandishing charge particularly so because of the mask but I could see where that could be Menacing too Nothing wrong with exercising your rights and I’m all for open carry but we have to remember where rights stop and being illegal begins

I’m all about 2A. BUT the mask doesn’t help his situation. He has every right to carry it as long has he’s not a felon but take the mask off. What are the odds that those two are not felons.
