What are the details about the two less than great shots with your Creed(bullet, shot distance, where they were hit, etc)?

One was an LRX at 200yds, hardly a drop of blood but a solid hit.
Second was a 6-8pt at 250yds with an LRX. Looked like a good hit and had some lung blood but waited two hours and tracked for another 3 but lost it when it reached mature pines floor was pure pine straw.

Not saying a 7PRC would have closed the deal on either but I believe a faster heavier bullets gives you a larger margin of error with shots.

Your bullet choice had more to do with it than your cartridge choice. For reference, I killed 2 deer last year with a 223 loaded with 77 grain tipped matchkings(TMK). One was a doe at 140 yards and the second was a 200+ pound 8 point at 40 yards.

My 223 setup is good to about 450 yards for animals. Only shot it to 660 yards on targets, though.
