Guys. The family had a lawyer already set up. This whole thing is about $$$. I am totally against this behavior simply because the coach was acting like a dumb teenager and those players will never respect him. I wouldn’t have sued anyone but there would have been a man to man sit down and there would have been a big apology. And No Josh Nibblet would have never done something like this! Truly a Godly man right there!
But this is all about money!!!!!! The family wants money!!!!! Niblett stood in a gym full of kids and ripped his shirt off like hulk hogan. He wasn't perfect but he was a damned site better than this current situation. And he was a damned site better man than Propst.

No way in hell this guy would get off with just quitting if this was my kid. He'll just go somewhere else and teach kids it's ok to display his homosexual desires in front of other kids. This pedophile should be in jail!

Coaches, Teachers, Youth Pastors, Camp Counselors, Boy Scout Leaders and others that spend inordinate amount of time with kids HAVE to be vetted and watched closely.

You telling me the family hired a lawyer, then the kid was coached to provoke the coaching staff so he would be assaulted in a sexual way so the family could sue Hoover High?? As a coach you’re there to help. You’re there to win and grow men. Sounds like these coaches (at the least) were more immature than the kids.
Anyone in todays society should know better than that.
I slapped a kid on his butt one day because he stole home from third when I told him to go. I was pumped and he was too, but I wouldn’t do that today.

, who he has authority over. I have zero issues if he ends up charged with sexual assault and become a registered offender. That’s prison behavior.

I was just saying that all programs film from an elevated position so it would be uncommon to have that video at that angle. The OP's statement was said like someone used a drone or a tower camera that wasn't supposed to be there. Sorry for the confusion if I miss under what he was saying.

If Niblet was arrested for ripping his shirt off then most male track coaches would be arrested also. Not unusual for them to run with the team during summer workouts and take the shirt off; plenty of females present at these workouts. No difference IMO. The two coaches that resigned were wrong in their actions. Much better ways to coach and mentor young men.
