yall check your yards / fields. hay farmer about a mile down the road had to cut early because of them. I decided I better check my yard and they are there. I hate the bastages.
by the time you see the damage it's to late.

Deal with them mostly with my lawn business. When I see the moths fly up in front of the mower en masse I know that lawn is getting sprayed in two weeks.

Small portion of my backyard on one side of a sidewalk got demolished overnight. I was going out of town that day I saw it, so had to call the man to spray for me

Luckily they don't have them here. NO poisonous snakes here on the coast either.

I sprayed about 130 acres last week. Used Intrepid at 6 oz per acre.

Get a permit and get the good stuff.. not the 7%
Got to stay ahead of the game if you have them on a yearly basis. They’ll eat that hay laying on the ground AFTER YOU CUT IT, if they are thick. Have to look for them daily if they hurt your operation.. I’m not so concerned about my yard

Hay guy sprayed Grizzly. He said wear gloves.mask and sleeves. Spray with a hi cycle. don’t wipe sweat offf with anything. Stuff will kill every bug but will burn your skin. Sweat opens your pores and then……..

There is a thread on here from last cycle of worms that popped out. It had some good info on it. There is a place in Texas where an old farmer has formulated several different “all natural” products. Supposed to have one for army worms and other pest you can spray your grass with early in the growing season. It’s supposed to keep them off of it. Probably till it gets cut not sure. Egg patches on the underside of hummingbird feeders are busting up, so hoping to end the cycle quickly. Will dose with permethrin, later, if a second round is needed. I’ve got about an acre of fenced Bermuda in a sea of Centipede (outside my fence and almost every yard in the neighborhood of 3-5 acre lots). Our old neighborhood was all Bermuda and they’d march across the neighborhood. If somebody sprayed ahead of them, they were the only green in the sea of brown. Makes lawn care companies good money, while they’re marching, but the lawn will rebound…no so much for the hay growers, though.

Bring them to my house please. I could use a round or two to keep from having to mow for a couple weeks.

bifen and imidacloprid, kill what’s there and gives u a 30 day buffer on the next round that’s coming in 30 days later. no 2 years are the same but i’ve never seen a big wave in august, it’s normally in september.

acelepryn in july is the best defense against them
