Where in Alabama is the best public land (non WMA) to hunt hogs? My go to spot was destroyed by tornadoes the past couple of yrs and now with this heat it’s pretty much impossible to see any in daylights hours.

I dont know about best but we leased land last year on the North west corner of Sam Murphy. On huntstand you can look for a pin Honey Hole management area just south of Henson springs road. I will actually be there prepping our green fields tomorrow and would be glad to show you. We were covered up with hogs last year. So bad that we put in a no bait rule this year. Most all of that area in fresh or young cutovers with SMZ in the bottoms. Should be easy to find the hog sign. Multiple times last year they would squeal and run deer off my field. Smart enough not to come out before dark though.

Not hard enough, messed me up on a good buck as well. Only part of our members leased it again this year, basically a new club. We are gonna give it another shot with no bait and see. If it is still a big problem we may let it go. Its just to far to drive to be able to trap.
