Technically its my 2nd cousin.....my mama's sisters daughter's son.....he's a little younger than me....He's 33 and still in that gung-ho, go-gitter stage of hunting......We got to talking about it though as he's telling me about him currently riding up the interstate somewhere in Georgia in a car with no ac south carolina bound and I told him that the "adventure" of going on the hunt is what it was really all about anyways........Go get 'em......Skeeters and heat be damned. rofl

Same here.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

You wont be able to let 'em lay for long after the shot that's for sure.....We've been running practice tracks and it doesnt take but just a matter of minutes for flies to start swarming the deer leg I leave at the end right now.....I imagine you dont have long before your meat spoils shooting one this time of year

It's not bad. If you work in it you get acclimated. Sitting still in a tree out of the sun from 4:30-7:45 shouldn't be too bad.

That’s the problem. I work in it every day, and I’m acclimated to that. I’m not acclimated to hunting deer in it. 😜

Haha I know what you mean. I was just giving you a hard time. Getting paid to be in it is definitely not the same.

Skeeters… I’d be more worried with snakes and gators up there. Gun season opens tomorrow for them. Got a buddy that moved from Bama to sc and he ain’t hunted period up there lol

I live in zone 2 which archery doesn’t open for another month and gun season doesn’t open for another 2 months. Still gotta be a cool snap to get me out in the woods when they do open. I hunted the low country in August once and it was miserably hot. Saw deer but it would have to have been a booner for me to pull the trigger. Just not worth going when it’s so hot you risk losing the meat if there’s a prolonged track job.

Yep, heck I don’t even like hunting here in bow season when it’s still 80 degrees in October

Nothing, and I mean nothing is appealing to me about shooting a deer in velvet. Especially in 99 degree weather.

Did it for several years. Big black skeeters will surround your vehicle when you pull in to hunt.
You absolutely must have a face net. When you try to drive home, you'll have 30-40 who jumped
in your cab just attack the hell out of you.

Now that I’m living in SC full time I thought about dragging the bow out. But. When it’s 90 and you can cut the air with a knife. Nope. Hell I break a sweat walking to the mailbox.

I'll bow hunt in shorts and short sleeves if I got to.
