I had been shooting 6.5 creedmoor but stepped up to a 7PRC. Like other said, deer won’t know a difference but I had two less than great shots with my creedmoor last year so I wanted alittle extra and something new. What are the details about the two less than great shots with your Creed(bullet, shot distance, where they were hit, etc)? One was an LRX at 200yds, hardly a drop of blood but a solid hit. Second was a 6-8pt at 250yds with an LRX. Looked like a good hit and had some lung blood but waited two hours and tracked for another 3 but lost it when it reached mature pines floor was pure pine straw. Not saying a 7PRC would have closed the deal on either but I believe a faster heavier bullets gives you a larger margin of error with shots.
