Hey yall! I’m trying to advertise for my clinic/myself to build patients with my practice as I know word of mouth will hopefully take off. Anyone know how to link my name to my clinic website on google? Or have the clinic/name pop up higher on google when someone types in primary care Florence etc? I am open to any suggestions. My nurse and other nurses have been hammering the Facebook sharing and have gotten a few patients lately from that as well as I have an ad in the Florence courier…just trying to grow the online presence if anyone can pm me or type any suggestions etc thanks!

First step is that you need to create a Google Business profile, if you haven’t already. Make a good website and add it to the google business profile. Google has a few parameters they look at regarding placing you higher on the listings. Regularly add content to your google listing, whether it’s only a picture, a quick write up, like a blog, or what be it - that they allow you to do. Google likes to see activity from your end. The map section a lot of times looks at proximity to the search locations, so if you have an address listed, it should help if someone is close enough for you to register. Reviews are huge, get as many real, authentic reviews as you possibly can, as quickly as you can. On your website, make sure it has good authentic organic content on it with good keywords, make sure to have the areas that you “serve” listed on the website. Keep it updated and fresh. Google regularly scans websites and will rank them based off of relative content to the search phrases. I pay a company to manage my website and perform our SEO because I don’t have the time to keep up with it.
The others games to play with Google are paid ads. “PPC” - Pay Per Click. You can pay google to rank you at the top of the page. It can get expensive depending on the amount of competition for the keywords you may be targeting “Primary Care Florence”
A lot of times, until you get good organic traffic coming through, you may have to rely heavy on the paid ad game and back it down as your organic leads start coming in.
For home service companies Google has a “local service ads” that we can pay to be listed on. I much prefer it over the PPC model as we only pay for the actual leads that call our office. PPC will charge you every single time a person clicks the ad. I don’t know of any services like this for Primary care
The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.

ER docs would be a good source for referring patients they see that do not have a family practice doctor. A billboard ad stating you are "accepting new patients and walk-ins welcome" for a few months would also work well. Then once word gets out you should be able to stay busy by word of mouth alone.
Maybe also letting front office staff at other busy clinics know you have some openings. They may be your competition but they like to help folks out and if they can't help them, they like having a name to give patients to call where they can be seen sooner. Maybe bring along some goodies to give each offices' staff when you drop by for a neighborly visit with the staff and docs.

Tiler Have you considered holding and "Open House" where locals can meet the staff? Plan a date for it with enough time to get the word out to the general area (maybe local radio ad, FB, local paper, etc) and provide light refreshments. The other thing that I know lots of people do is check their health insurance website to see who is in their network, so be sure you are making it known which insurance providers you accept and if you are accepting medicaid/medicare patients as well. For your online presence, have a good website and like someone else mentioned, work with someone who understands all the SEO stuff and can help get it all set up.
