Market seemed to shrug it off. I guess bad news is still good Sure because it’s more ammunition to cut rates. Market wants bad numbers so Fed can pump the economy with fake cheap money. I think you are correct. They want a .5% cut they are going to get a 1/2 point cut in Sept and they already know it. What they really want is a half point emergency cut Friday or early next week from Powell, and looking at how they just shrugged this off, as if it means nothing at all, they are expecting it.
