What's y'alls predicted price on a case of dove shot this year? Academy usually has a sale the week prior to opening day on Monarchs.I picked some up last year for $90.00 plus tax.. $99.00. I don't need any this year but I still generally buy a case to use down the road.

Midway had AA’s for $99 a case

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Me smile. And you could walk out with it after paying for a shotgun there too. Ahh, the good old days are long gone, I sure miss them.
I dont know if it'll happen or not but hopefully somebody will have a 'sale' a week or so before the season opens. Price wont be that different than what Im see yall post on here though. I'll report back if I do see anything good.

Check out Gman Sport online. I just ordered 1 1/8 oz 3 1/4 dram Fiocchi for $10.46 per box out the door total. Shipping was high but no tax was charged to come to that figure. Mine arrived with no problems in about 4 days.

Went by Academy on Hwy 150 after work yesterday. Saw some 12 gauge Monarchs that I'd never seen there before, its the green label listed as heavy dove and they have 1&1/8 oz of #7.5 shot so I picked up a case of those just for the heck of it to try. They were $114.00 and change out the door and if you buy a case of shotshells (10 or more boxes) you get $5.00 off.
**Now here is something I want yall to pay attention to; the Monarchs I usually buy with the orange label, the wing and clay hi vel #7.5 shot now only has 7/8 oz of shot instead of 1 oz. What kind of Tomfoolery is this? I looked at my couple cases stash this morning before heading to work and the cases I have bought the last couple of years show all are listed as 1 oz of shot. Bidenomics maybe?

You must have bought 20ga if you got them in 7/8 oz. Below is a link for the 12ga - 7.5 - 1 oz

I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

NOPE. ...the 7/8 oz that I saw were marked 12 gauge. I double looked.I had never seen these before. The 20 gauge were on on side of a big roll around cart and 12's were on the other, right in front of the cash register counter I didnt purchase any of those but did get a case of the 1 and 1/8 oz 12's. Good luck on opening day !!

I got lucky this year. Was about to order a case of 16ga and decided to go check inventory. Found a whole case of Remington heavy dove I forgot I had.

I almost did that one time with those heavy metal duck shells. I had forgot I had a couple of cases in the bottom of the gun cabinet.

I mean I almost remembered 🤣

dang...that's $0.80/rd............most of the bird shot at academy was in the $0.40-50/rd range.

I bet you bought a bismuth blend of some sort. Now way you paid $20 a box for lead. If you did... you got reamed.

High Brass 1 1/4 oz is a classic pheasent load. It's overkill IMO for dove but the price is within reason for what it is actually. He's buying damn near turkey loads...lol

These are Migras. Never heard of them. High brass 7.5/9 stacked load. What the hell. Today is my favorite day of the year. 16 year old me would die
