I got drawn for gun hunt for area 6. Does anyone have any information about the area? It will be nov 15-17th. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

This is third party info. Not sure about your area in particular, but a lot of woods around there are big woods. From what I was told, if you could find the thickets you’ll be in some deer. It was tough bow hunting, with a rifle you would stand a much better chance.

I’ve looked at the map of area 6 looks like 2 power lines in that area

I’m no help but our group of 3 got drawn for area 4 on that hunt.

There will be 5 of us. We are going up on the 13th to ride roads then 14th feet on ground 15-17th hopefully putting big buck down. I’m hoping that the rut will be in full swing up there.

According to knight and Hale, they told me at the diner in town, 12th-13th is peak game time mode…. I figure it swings up and down some. Yall should be on point. I’ve hunted that area several times. We always went those dates but I can’t find my journal to see about that area.

Thanks for the information. I’m hoping that at least one of us connects with a good one. That would be a success being none of us have hunted up there. I think it’s going to be very enjoyable either way.

I have seen a shooter every time I’ve been. Passed a bunch of nice ones. Always had a bow in my hand, but managed to kill some doe for camp meat and a nice 7pt, most all the bucks we saw were chasing or trailing during that time frame

Yes. I looked on A map but not a good one. If I could find my LBL map I can tell you exactly where I was. I’ll try to find a better map.

Anyone have any insight on unit 3. This will be my first time to hunt LBL. Got drawn for Nov1-3 first adult gun hunt. Any advice will be appreciated.
