When you first see a fawn on their feet traveling with their momma, how old do you think they are?

3-4 weeks by the time you start seeing them on camera. Usually.

Had one bound across the road just inside my gate yesterday. I had my first sighting last year on 8/18/24 and I'm thinking this one was 2-3 days old and maybe a couple of days more. Also had a doe standing in a small powerline yesterday and she just stood there watching as I drove by. Pretty strong feeling she had just put one on the ground.

I got several areas I really need to bush hog but it'll be a few weeks before I attempt it due to the fawn issue.

"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Then roughly back up 6 months from there to get conception timeframe?

83% of all statistics are made up.

From game cams 1st sighting I always backed up 2 full weeks. Count back 28.5 weeks from that day to find conception. Seems to be about right with the rut activity we saw. At least within 7 days accurate.

I've been watching does on our cameras. They all looked like they were about to pop. Saw one today that you could see her ribs and hips. Sunken stomach. I'm assuming she had her fawn. The fawn wasn't in the picture though.

I’m seeing does on cam in Walker County that look like theyre still carrying fawns. Haven’t seen a fawn yet. I always thought our rut was round January 10th. If they’re still carrying then they were bred in early February
