What are u guys using to spread larger areas? I am going to start spreading clover into my 8 acre summer plot field every fall and most spreaders don’t do well with smaller seed. Been using a hand spinner on my fall plots but getting to old to do all that walking

Mix with fertilizer or pelletized lime (cheaper than fertilizer). Also extreme blower products attachment that attaches to a blower does a good job with small seeds.

"Cull" is just another four letter word...

I have a moultrie atv spreader that does a really good job with the small seeds. I put out alot of clover seed last year and it did a really good job.

Put the amount of seed you want on the patch in ATV spreader. Crack spreader gate maybe 1/16”, haul ass length of field on 20’ spacings. Split the middles, and if you have any leftover, zigzag till gone. A big coffee can is around five pounds of coated seed ,which is around how much we put out per acre once all the big seeds have been covered.Only put the amount of seed in hopper that you plan to use before moving to the next plot. I think my spreader would hold water better than turnip seeds going down a bumpy road.
