I think what we are seeing is old school democrats leaving what has turned into the marxist/socialist party.
When the extreme left moved so far left that it moved center to the left of where the old school democrats were, it kinda left them on our side of the fence even though they are still way more liberal than a bunch on here. You're right. Both parties have moved left over the last 40 years . You see it in both parties Yep
