I think what we are seeing is old school democrats leaving what has turned into the marxist/socialist party.
When the extreme left moved so far left that it moved center to the left of where the old school democrats were, it kinda left them on our side of the fence even though they are still way more liberal than a bunch on here.

Which is why it baffled me when all the aldeer crowd jumped on his bandwagon in 2016. Turns out, we've moved so far from conservatism with the Bush's, that an 80's democrat was more conservative than a 2010 Republican. Ultimately it is all the same now.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Who is more conservative and represents your veiws more. Katie Britt or Tulsi Gabbard? My point is its nor a party thing, we have to get over that. It's big government vs freedom. The US would be a better place if every politician didn’t have an (R) or (D) after their name, and folks were actually forced to look into politicians’ records and policies to decide who more closely represents their values.
