To all the Aldeer detectives bolo for a white dodge 4 door truck, newer truck probably later than a 2020 model. My son listed his 2021 razr for sale on marketplace, a guy supposedly named Charlie Johnson from Monroe Louisiana, black male approximately 5’7 -5’8 contacted him and came to our property with what looked to be a legit cashiers check and left with his sxs, I know there are many faults of his own but theives like this need to be caught. Probably will never be seen again, but I’m just putting this out to maybe help others to be aware of the fraud and how legit these scammers can be. We live in Choctaw county, but they are everywhere out there.

There was a group of dinna do nuffins coming from Atlanta with fake cashiers checks around here last year.
Hopefully you can get it recovered or had good insurance.

Yessir, whoever this fraudulent person has deleted the fake account he was using that had random pics but none of him, I feel like it’s within 1-2 hours of here considering the condition of the ragedy trailer, multiple possibilities though. All I can say is it takes some huge balls and confidence to come to someone’s house and do this . He has filed police reports but I feel like nothing will turn up, if only they could ping the cell phone signals that were in this area at the time would be the only hope.

I bought a new atv in 2017. They made me bring them a cashiers check and they had to verify it with the bank before I could take possesion of the atv. I thought it was overkill at the time but now understand its crazy times we live in

I learned from an attorney to film the entirety of the transaction on your phone. Make sure to capture faces and drivers license. Tags also. CYA is a must nowadays so I do this for all significant transactions now.

To the OP I hope your son is made whole and the sorry mfer gets what’s coming to him.

He never talked to him, all was done on fb messenger, we’ve had local law enforcement pull cameras of the closest town, we know the timeframe he woulda been around the stores, we live in the country . We have pics of the truck and all, no tag was on the truck either. All I can say is there is some smart useless thieves in this area, I hope karma hits him like a major biotch.

I told him the exact same thing if he does any more transactions and never go alone anywhere, I pulled down to his house while this was happening and the guy seemed really nervous and in a hurry, also had no straps or tag on vehicle. Just pass this info on to anyone you know to be extremely careful and make sure everything is legit before any deal is final.

Always use cellular and your/their phone’s # and data, if at all possible. There is ALWAYS information there that cannot be removed an LE knows how to utilize.

Same thing happened to one of our friends sons. It was even a razor. They found it listed for sale later, but the guy figured out what was going on and erased it.

A guy that fits description tried that sshhit on me a couple years ago. Also y’all need to watch out for the fake cash. The 50 dollar bills have become the hot item.

It would be hard for me to trust cash now, almost would have to meet at a bank to get it.
