I had to replace some AC vent socks in my attic, the tech found a chewed up duct with a pile of nuts from my bird feeder. Little peanut butter with sliced almonds was more than Chip could bear. Took about a half hour.

One of my cats brought one in the house just to show that she was doing her job. But....she sat it down and it ran off and hid. We tried for a month to catch that little sucker and you could hear it eating cat food in the middle of the night but finally we caught it in a sticky pad trap for rats. It was so fat after eating a steady diet of EXPENSIVE cat food for over a month, it probably would have died from heart failure in a short while but my Gamo pellet rifle took care of him. We were infested with chipmunks until our mama cat had a litter of barn cats and now they are on the endangered list at my place---thank heavens.

They are pretty tricky, had another one that wouldn't go in the trap. I had to sneak up on him and take him out with my 410.

I have had great luck with rat traps. I get a small rubber band and put half a pecan on the trigger with rubber band

I put bird seed on the edge of our concrete driveway slab and shoot them in the head with my suppressed 22. Lot's of fun.

I killed 4 or 5 last fall, and thought they would be gone for awhile. I have more that have moved in, so once the acorns start falling I will get up my have a heart trap and catch/kill them. I hate those little things.
