Talking with a few buddies at work, we talked about what kinda days you enjoy hunting the most. Couple said they like Bluebird days and cool weather. I love cold overcast drizzling rain days sitting in a pop-up. Was wondering what y'alls favorite hunting conditions are.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

My favorite deer hunting conditions is Day 2 after a Strong Cold front blows in and the NW wind has settled down and it is real still. Crisp still air and can hear the slightest sounds.

Same but I don't mind a little north breeze. I like to know where my scent is going.

Windy as all get out as an artic front, or really any significant front is coming through. I’ve seen more good bucks when the wind is howling than after the front passes and things calm down. I don’t sit at camp on those days.

You’ve killed more nice bucks than I’ve ever even laid eyes on so I’m gonna take your word. My experience has been exact opposite. I don’t miss a chance to hunt no matter what conditions. I’ve just not seen big bucks move in 20+mph winds unless rut is wide open. Ducks yes. Deer no.

Yes, not many deer, but the right ones.

Hands down. I’ve got more big deer on the ground in unbearably cold and windy days as the front hits. Most ppl don’t even bother going. If I have to struggle to stay on stand, then it’s likely I’ll kill a good deer.

About 2 days after a front after the wind eases up. At least for seeing a lot of deer. But All if my best deer have come on the hot days hunting in shorts and a t shirt.

I think everyone is all over it. Windy days when the fronts move in makes the big ones get on their feet. A day or two after it’s blown in and is calm and cool is also good to see all types. I’m partial to mornings for big deer and afternoons for a little of everything. I’ll usually be in a climber strategically hunting a big deer in the woods or cutovers and food plots in the afternoons.

Any and as many days from November 23rd- February 10th as I can go. Used to be October 15th- February 10th but I have had more responsibilities the last ten years so I forfeit bow season. Conditions are rarely optimal when I am able to go but regardless I go.

Actually shot a nice buck in Texas last year a few seconds after the feeder stopped.

It was warm with a south breeze that day. grin

You need a buddy heater and get right over that struggle. I put mine on low and put it in my coveralls with me.

Pro tip... Don't fall asleep.

Nice cold days from December to February. The few times I’ve hunted AL with snow on the ground have been even better. rofl Enjoy a quiet morning in high 20s after some snow with some accumulation on the ground. Killed the heck out of them each time. grin

I hope You don’t catch Yourself on fire one day doing that. I have used a Buddy Heater before several times when it’s really cold but I have not got brave enough to put it in my clothes with me. 😂
