Last summer me and my 12yr old son were fishing a swamp on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville behind my house. I have a top notch German Shepherd guard dog. I noticed the woods were dead quiet. Not even a July fly. Crickets m, frogs nothing. After pulling up in the truck and standing beside it fishing for an hour...it's around 1am. Summer.. hot no wind.
We had something on two feet. Walk straight up to us through that swamp. We could hear water dripping off it. It stopped 35yds away and out headlamps wouldn't shine that far. It would stop and listen for a minute then walk towards us and stop and listen. Should’ve had that top notch guard dog with you. I did. His hair was standing up and he was ready to get in the truck
