a buddy has a customer that has 50 acres of pasture he’s planted oaks in tree tubes in. is there any chemicals he could spray to keep broadleaf weeds at bay. he “tries” to have it mowed 2-3 times during the growing season but it’s getting jungle-ish with dog fennel and a plethora of other tall summer annuals. thanks in advance

24d is on the spray list for peach trees but you have to spray it while the trees are dormant. If you think about it, alot of broadleaf weeds emerge before trees start putting on foliage. 24d also has some residual effect which might help the later boadleaf weeds. Dont do this before you study about it. I know its listed in the peach tree sprayguide. I dont know if its a good fit for oak trees.
