Same thing Sasquatch Lives described about the bright light hitting him happened to me in Dallas County about 20 years ago. I had tossed and turned all night and finally got up and went to the woods around 4AM. Parked my 4-wheeler in a clearing and realized I didn't have a flashlight. Standing there in the pitch dark when the brightest light ever hit me. Lasted about 10 seconds. I looked up and saw a bright green meteor streaking across the sky. Bout crapped myself when that light hit me.

Was hunting in Alberta Canada a while back and the guide picked me up shortly after dark. We drove 10 miles over to pick up another guy who was hunting with us. When we got there this guy was scared and shaking. Said a fog settled around him close to dark and he saw something moving and next thing you know the Grim Reaper with sickle over his shoulder appears.. Said it walked right by him. He was scared as anybody I've ever seen and refused to hunt that stand again.. Probably let a 170 get by him but he was damn sure scared.

I had this happen a couple years back. Still one of the strangest encounters I’ve ever had happen.

http://www.aldeer.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3381286&page=all

One time in Nebraska I was trying to roost one for the next morning and nothing but an old lone hen came in to the roost tree. It was still slightly daylight and she had already flew up behind me. I got up to leave and she flew down and landed to my left about 10 feet. I started walking to the truck and she followed me the entire way about 10 feet to my left. When I got in the truck she turned around and ran back towards the roost because it was getting pretty dark at that point. It was like she was escorting me out of there.

A guy tracking a deer at night so (night hunting but not really)
A guy tracking a deer kills a deer so said it was already shot…. but someone else took a picture with dead deer. (Guy smiling in the picture didn’t kill the deer.)
A guy tracking a deer was trespassing and didn’t give 2 shats he wanted the deer. (Rules don’t mean shat)
Crazy stuff in them woods.

Lots of UFO activity in Barbour Co. seen and told by many, many people over the years. I along with a hunting buddy, saw 3 triangle shaped, black ufo's one night near Baker Hill. I've told the story on here before..it happened in late January, around 2005.

There's been a lot of big foot sightings and "experiences" in Barbour County too. I was walking to my turkey setup several springs ago off of Old Batesville dirt road, not too far from Barbour County WMA on private land. About an hour before first light, in the misting rain, and about a mile off the dirt road. I heard something running to me in the woods and it crossed the logging road within feet of my back. It was breaking saplings as it ran, and I could hear and feel its feet/claws/paws. It ran by me so fast, I never saw wth it was...and I'm faster than the average person. Soooo...ya'll tell me wth that was? Old man that hunted that land for the last 30 years told me there was definately a bigfoot that had been seen by hunters on that property...and he has his own story of hearing a "thwaaap", thwaaap" while he was turkey hunting. Said it sounded like something swinging and hitting a tree against another tree...all on that same property.

When I was hunting Barbour I saw a lot of craft out of Ft Rucker flying around at night. They have strange lights and are very quiet.

I took my son youth hunting several years ago and we sat in my uncle's blind that is on a trailer. We saw a hen at the far end if the field. and a bobcat was sneaking up on her. She saw it from 15-20 yards away and started running after it. Chased it all over the field until she chased it right toward us and the bobcat hid under the trailer. Then she just went on feeding like nothing happened. The bobcat was under us for a couple minutes and then snuck out the opposite direction of the hen.

One tough turkey.

My grandfather purchased our family farm in Dallas county when I was a sophomore in high school. It is a beautiful place, huge blocks of pasture that drop off into palmetto swamps. Used to be lots of deer on the property back in its hey day(not really anymore)

The individual that my grandfather purchased from allegedly purchased the farm himself from a high ranking executive rich old man from the old cigar factory in Selma(do not know true that is or what the individual's name was)...however, the owner prior to my grandfather told us that the rich man did not trust banks and had a habit of burying his money in mason jars around the farm under fence posts and in amongst the roots of big swamp oak trees. Prior owner told us that shortly after the sale of the farm, the old rich miser died, and sometimes on cool, full moon nights he would look out across the pasture and see the light from a lantern making its way across the pasture or sometimes floating through the swamp...he thought it was the ghost of the old man looking after his money.

If it’s the same house I’m thinking of, I’ve heard some stories. Our camp is a little ways down the road. You could hear footsteps just about every night.

Ok , ill yell this , most think I'm crazy any way . Aint a hunting thing though

Was a guy I knew was a couple years older than me , was good friends with his brother. He was a little off and only rode a bicycle . We seen all the time riding around the fields we worked . Hed bum a drink or smoke and go down the rode to where other farmers were working in those fields , same thing bum a drink get a smoke .

He had a Asthma attack and died.

Ever now and then some body would say they swore they seen him on his bike riding around the fields or down the rode .

One day I saw him plan as day . Olin even waved at me . Talk about being freak thev hell out . I thought ain't no way I slammed on brakes turned around to go back but he was gone.. ever day after that I watched for him but never saw him again .

There it is believe it or not

I was walking in the woods one morning before daylight during deer season. About halfway in I stopped because i hear what sounds like singing. I sat there listening maybe a good 45 seconds to a minute and i know for sure the singing i heard was slave spirituals. All i can say is I was no danger to a deer that day 😂 I ran back to my truck.

It wasn't a ghost, it turned out it was a black guy who was burglarizing homes in the area. He was stashing his loot he had stolen in the attic. I guess I arrived late in the evening and he was trapped in the attic. That night as I lay in bed I heard the footsteps coming down the stairs. I didn't take a flashlight to bed with me and to turn on a light you had to get up and feel in the dark for the pull cord in the middle of the room. The front door was a double door that you secured by dropping a 2x4 into a couple of heavy steel bars bent to hold the door shut from the inside. I know I installed the 2x4, I would never sleep in there by myself without it. After awhile I finally fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning and walked out of the bedroom the front door was standing wide open. I about crapped my pants knowing someone had been in the house with me! It was reported to the Sheriffs Dept and a week or 2 later they caught and arrested him.

One of the weirdest hunts i went on - my buddy said i got a gobbler that has extra long gobble - like he got a rattle in his gobble. He said come hunt him with me. I said sure - but was looking forward to the hunt way more than anything like that cause i was not expecting much. Really forgot about what he said about weird gobble!! We arrived and were slipping thru woods n dark and my buddy is a little guy that can move so he was leaving me. There were several gobbs there that morning - but the first one to sound off was the extra long gobble. Once i heard it - i was freaking out - i sprinted up to my buddy and stopped him and i said - did you hear that??? Did you hear that?? Kept saying it and he was laughing and said yea and i told you so. He probably gobbled for an extra 4 seconds in length - its like the end of the gobble almost never stopped - almost like he was begging - never heard anything close to it in my life nor will i ever again. We lit him up like a Christmas tree - i wanted him to gobble - several gobs were responding and i wish we would hav had a camera for the sound this bird was making. About an hour and a half in i hear this crashing and limbs geting hit and think what in the world is this?? Its that idiot flying thru the woods to come see us and lights n a tree right by us. Buddy said — should i shoot? I said heck yes and yiu gonna shoot! I said thats the biggest compliment of them all - he so horny he flew too us! He let him have it and it sounded like a 55 gallon drum hitting the water when he landed in that creek. Awesome - awesome hunt

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self
We need prayer for our country now more than ever
